Two Unrelated Crimes Against Children in Woodstock, Ga
In Woodstock, two people were arrested by Woodstock police for crimes involving children.
The first, Randy Coffin, 43, was charged him with statutory rape, child molestation, and enticing a child for indecent purposes when arrested on Wednesday. He is accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old, his fiance’s younger sister.
He es now in custody at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center in Canton.
In another case, Woodstock Police detectives finally obtained an arrest warrant for Amy Syrinek-Ross, 32, of Marietta. She is charged with with one count of simple battery against a 10-year-old child.
Tha actual incident happened back in November, on the 15th, where she allegedly illegally touched a child in the bowling alley restroom, at AMF Woodstock Lanes, a bowling center located at 108 Woodpark Blvd. in Woodstock.
Unfortunately, Syrinek-Ross is employed as a school counselor.
She identified herself as a teacher to both the child and another woman who happened to witness the incident, according to Woodstock Police Public Information Officer Paul Brown.
"The Woodstock Police Department places a very high priority on investigating crimes committed against children," said Brown. "As law enforcement professionals, we must protect children from adults who prey upon their vulnerability."
